90s editorials research
Today I have research several 90s editorials to gain inspiration for hair, makeup and locations. I already researched of how I want to present my dress and accessories but I'm struggling of were I want to shoot. In my previous research I looked at the background of the editorials but today I took a closer look.
What I noticed is that many brands used a plain or blurred background. It was very clean and the focus lays on the model. I already have 2 locations in mind it is a church and canals with a bridge. This is close from where I live and I think it will be a great location for my final image when I present the dress and accessories.
Hair: Looking at my model she has short blond hair. I like the loose curls but I know it won't suit my model. I am going for a wet look. This way you will see the earrings better and I think it will look great in the whole picture.
Make-up: I am going to do a natural look with wing eyeliner and I will use a soft colour on the lips in the beginning. I will bring red lipstick so I can add changes in the picture to make it more sexy and change the appearance.
Presenting accessories: I am going to show the accessories on the model but I will make close-ups so you only see a part of the body with the accessory. I am going to use walls from the location above. First I wanted to use a white or beige background but I think it will match better together if I use walls from the background I am going to use in the last image with the dress and accessories.

What links all of these examples is the slickness and sophistication of the locations, something that was very prevalent in 90's shoots. A combination of the church and bridge (where is this by the way?) would work well, would like to see more shots of specific areas that you are going to shoot in.
