Results fotoshoot

Today I had my photoshoot at 6 am, because then we have the sunrise in the Netherlands and this would be great lighting for the shoot. everything went well and due to the good preparation the shoot only started for 2 hours. In total we have 190 photos taken with an iPhone 8 plus and the camera capture was set to high efficiency. The high dynamic range is set to Auto HDR. The settings of the ISO and shutter speed so this is automatic. The shutter speed is not longer than 1/3 of a second on my iphone. My friend used portrait and normal position. We managed to get really good pictures because the day before the shoot, I explained everything to my friend and how I wanted the photos to look like. I also showed her the pictures of the poses and appearance I wanted to create. With every location she made a test photo to show me if the lighting and position were good. From this selection I chose the best 2 photos. See below.

 This was a really hard choice because I think they are both beautiful. However, when thinking about my theme I like the background of the right picture better. The pose is good and there is interaction with the dress. I also like the reflection in the sunglasses.

I like the background of the left picture but I have to crop the image so you do not see that I am holding my hair and then you wouldn't see the background. On the right picture you can see the bow of the belt and the tattoo falls between the necklace.

I like the pose better from the right image.  The pearl necklace falls more beautiful and it is elegant with my hands

I like the left picture more but on the right image you can see the sunglasses better which will be a better fit for the theme. 

I like the right picture more because you can see the make-up and it gives a clearer view of how the headband looks like.

I looked at the posture, light, position, background, and facial expression to see which one I liked more.

I also made a picture of the wall and of all the accessories together. I did this so that I have more choice, and to fill the page and reinforce the theme. I am not sure if I will use these images but I am going to edit them just in case. 

Final selection

Now I have made a selection of the images I want to use, I started to edit them. I have used the apps Lightroom and Beautyplus to edit my images. For all the images I have used automatic correction and after this I used preset Vintage 03 from lightroom to create blue/grey tones. Because I edited my photos my skin became very light/white, I made the tone a little bit warmer by using the button tone on beautyplus. I also used smooth from beautyplus to make my skin look flawless.

With this image I have used make-up from beautypluss for the lips, to give them a stronger colour that stands out. 

With this images I removed the pimples on my back so it my skin looks more flawless.

Reflection

I am really happy with the final images I am going to use for my flipbook. The accessories are presented in a fun and creative way. All photos match. By editing the photos with a blue undertone, I create a luxurious look. The poses and facial expression is powerful and my theme comes out very well. By shooting at the same location I have a nice different background but not all the same. I am very happy that I did the photos in the morning because the light was perfect and this can be seen in the photos. Sharp pictures with some blurred background to make the accessories stand out more makes it more attractive. The research in poses has helped me a lot and by looking back at this research every now and then, made my photos become much more beautiful.  I thought the picture with the bow in the hair was the least of all the photos. But by editing it in the right way, this has now become my favorite. It's nice to see how much impact editing has on a photo and that I was able to create all this myself. I am really excited to create my flipbook and how all the pictures will look together.
