Quick fitting before the fotoshoot

The day before the shoot I did a quick fitting of the dress. I knew this dress would also fit me but the dress I made was for my friend Sophie and based on her figure. So, I thought to fit the dress with the old design I had in mind first. See design below.

With the same shape of the dress that was made for the model, I could create the shape as shown above. I have used pearl necklaces on the top of the dress.  As I made a belt from the same fabric for the previous design, I also tried it on this design and it looked good. It just created a little more shape and waist. See image below.

I am very happy that I quickly did a fitting so, that I still had room to change things. I think this design suits me much more. I also tried on the accessories and looked at how I wanted to wear this. This made me better prepared for the shoot. I will be wearing black patent pointed pumps because I thought it matched the dress and look. Because I unfortunately had a setback because the model was no longer available, I was fortunately able to adapt this in a creative way so, that it is still a dress that is more based on my figure.  Even though I still had to change a lot in the end and I was under a lot of stress because I had a setback that I did not see coming, I managed to get it done in time.

  1. Looking forward to seeing how this works out in the shoot - post about what you did today include some 'out-take' shots too, the ones you are considering using and not using.
