Final sketch + tutorials dress making

Today I made the final design of the dress. This dress will be made out of silk fabric. 

My greatest inspiration came from Chanel. Her inspiration behind the little black dress was to free women from corsets and tight clothing. My design is feminine, classy and timeless. Because the top is more open, this makes it more feminine, giving my design a modern twist. See final design below. 

I also watched tutorials of making several dresses. Because I am not familiar with fashion design this was really useful. I searched on the internet for dress patters but they were hard to find. Also I understand it much better when they showed it in a video of how to make a dress.

I found this video very clear and comprehensive how the dress was made and what you should pay attention to.

I found the first video the most useful because it comes closest with my dress. There are also patterns here and show them how you make it. I will use these patterns and video to help make my dress.

Update: I made this post a few days ago but yesterday I got a new idea for my final sketch. In the upcoming days I am going to make a new post with the dress adjusted and explain how I got the idea.
