Because I didn't have any materials available, I had to be creative with paper. I decided to sketch a dress what I have in mind for my 3D outcome and decided to re-create this with paper on a mannequin.

Because I made a prototype of the sketch I could better see what the model of the dress looks like in real life. Paper does not fall smoothly, of course, but because I made it, I found out that I should look at fabrics that fall smoothly, so that the bottom of the dress falls nicer. By using thinner fabric it will be easier to shape the dress.
This is excellent, considering what you used and how you reflected on it. Would like to see reverse angle/side shots of this piece as well.
