Research Brana Wolf
Recently I have researched Katie grand where I went much deeper into the research. Now at Brana wolf I mainly looked at her work and how I can use this in my own project.
Brana Wolf is a stylist and editor born in Eboli, Italy and raised in Sydney, Australia. She is listed as one of the eight most powerful fashion editors in America. She is known for her ability to edit styles to perfection through colour and moods (Moda Database, n.d).
When she was 16, she started to follow the patterns of vogue magazines to inspire her fashion designs. Her career started when she became a beauty editor at a women's magazine at the age of 20. Her breakthrough came when she started to work with photographer Steven Meisel for Italian Vogue. She said "I did my best work with him. (Brana Wolf, n.d).
What struck me first was her hair style and subtle jewelery worn in an elegant way. I like how all the looks she did are well put together. You can see less is more but it remains interesting. What I also found interesting is that they used different busy backgrounds and the focus remains on the model. I thought this would be too much, but this looks more appealing. The second and the last photo are in black and white, so I saw more quickly that it was inspired by the past. The photos in colour, you still can see it's inspired by the past but with a modern twist. This gave me the idea to do my accessories photos in black and white and the photo with dress in accessories in colour. The underlying idea is that it is only complete when you have your outfit on with the right accessories. That it is not yet complete with only accessories and therefore in black and white, but if you look at the whole picture it is perfect and therefore in color

Editorial: Flirty fifties
When doing my research I saw this editorial below what caught my eye immediately because of it's theme It's inspired on the fifties, and even though I am going to use the 90's, it was still very useful.

Flirty Fifties is interesting - consider how the shots are composed, the position of the model and the emphasis on the location is often just as important as the clothing/style - this is selling a product/lifestyle, whatever you want to call it. But it is evocative of a period in time.
