Elaboration of my idea - ice breaker

I like the first idea the most from my previous post and I will now develop it further. I made a plan of how I wanted to make it so that I was well prepared.

This picture is made for a project for art portfolio. I really like this picture and therefore I want to use this for this project.

Plan:

The background is a square of 35 cm by 30 cm, that I am going to paint black. After this I make 36 rectangles and I vertically length them in the background.  All the rectangles will have the same height of 6 cm. The photo is cut into strips and pasted on the top of the rectangle. I paint these rectangles in the color that matches the photo on it.
