What do I know about Communication and styling

In today's lesson I had to answer a few questions what I know about my progression route. My progression route is  communication and styling.

What should I be doing in my subject area?

Fashion communication means communicating your product & brand to the enduser and to create a unique brand identity & maximize its visibility. It includes creating and facilitating communication for the fashion industry; verbal, written, visual or audiovisual.

I will be generally responsible for overseeing the overall process of creating, planning, developing, managing and presenting content for fashion-specific magazines, photo shoots, websites, newspaper sections or television shows.

What skills and knowledge do I need for my subject area?

Concept development,  drawing skills,  stay up to date of the fashion trends, communication skills, giving presentations, research in competitors, project management, event styling, photography, writing skills and social media (digital skills).

What jobs can I get by studying in this subject?

- Fashion editor

- Fashion stylist

- Art director

- Visual merchandiser 

- Own company 

If I scored myself out of ten, with then being the highest, how well do I think I know my own subject area?

3. I haven't studied in six years and I do not have a prior degree in my subject area, so there is still so much to learn.
