Beginning of my development
For today's lesson we have to develop our ideas. For my editorial I have to consider what kind of layout I want to use and how I want to have my photographs presented.
I want a basic layout for my magazine page so it looks clean and does not have too many pictures or text.
I will use a basic font that is clear, easy to read and recognizable. I want to use a headline with a short paragraph to introduce the article and a separate bigger paragraph would be my writers piece of 500 words. The picture below is a great example of how I want my editorial to look like. The title is big so the reader knows exactly what to expect of the article. In addition, the page is easy to read and does not have many distractions.
I want to choose colors that match my photographs such as light beige and brown. See the example below. I like how the yellow part behind the pictures match with the photograph. I think this way the photograph stands out more. Therefore, I also want to use colored areas created in my page. I am not sure which color I will use or which shape the colored area need to be but I will figured this out when the photographs are ready so I know the exact colors of my photograph. Because I will use colors and photographs I prefer to leave the background white so it does not distract.

Good work on starting to consider your layout - I am hoping that you really know what you are aiming for now and how this will look in the final design
