Welcome to the life of a fashion student
Hi!
Welcome to my blog.
My name is Jolan Wojcik, a twenty-four year old EU student from the Netherlands.

Hereby she is proving again that normal rules do not apply when fashion and high technology combine. She pushes her boundaries and steps out of her comfort zone. In the though world of fashion to break through, it is important to have these qualities and that is why Iris van Herpen inspires me.
Welcome to my blog.
My name is Jolan Wojcik, a twenty-four year old EU student from the Netherlands.
After my journey as an Assistant Manager in the Retail, I decided to change my whole life to pursue my dream here in the UK. When I worked as an Assistent manager I was part of the final process in clothing and that was selling. I noticed that I wanted to be creative in a different way and want to be from the beginning of the process.
So here I am writing my first post as a fashion student studying IYZ Art & Design.
I will begin with an inspirational image of a fashion show from a Dutch designer.

This photograph was taken at the Paris Haute Couture week in 2019. I chose this image because the structure and patterns are found in nature. Her work can not be defined as fashion design, it transcends beyond the world of fashion and expresses other forms of art. Her designs are extraordinary.
Iris was also the first designer who used the 3D printing in her designs. She is always trying new techniques, not the re-invention of old ideas. This photo above is her latest creations called Shift souls. which combine craftsmanship and new technologies. This collection is composed in 18 different styles, all very colorful. She focused on the evolution of the human form, its idealization over time and the hybridization of female forms in mythology. Iris explains that this collection is based on an experimental approach. Her designs are additively manufactured, laser cut and defined by an algorithm. The colored silks used are assembled on thin 3D printed frame. She created an optical illusion with fabrics that disorted the mannequin's body.

You need much more in the way of research here - so if you wish to discuss Van Herpen you need to add more research and images to discuss her designs in a little more depth and why they appeal to you
