Advertisement practice
For our module Digital Arts we have to make an advertisement. Therefore we need to use the progam Pixlr. Today in our class our teacher Ms. Zoe showed us step by step how to do this.
The beginning of Pixlr looks like this. You can create a new one on the left.
This lesson was really helpful and I am ready to make my first advertisement.
When you want to open a new one you have to choose full HD 1920 x 1080.
The unsplash website contains photos we could use in our advertisements. They have many topics and there is something for everyone.
To continue with creating my advert I have to add a picture into Pixlr. I chose to use an image of high end fashion and I added this into Pixlr. After I added my picture in Pixlr I had to select and copy the picture. After this I pasted this into a new blank page.
It is important that you add your logo to your advertisement. We could design this on a website if it was free. I used the website free logo design and choose High end fashion as my name for the logo.
After choosing a logo I had to save it and send it to my e-mail. After this I added my logo on Pixlr. This went the same as with the picture. First you need to select everything and copy the logo and then paste it into your image. I made my logo smaller and put it in the top left. I thought my logo stood out too much and therefore set the transparency to 80, you can find this on the left side of the screen.
After we designed our logo, there was still some text to be added. This must match with your advertisement in order to connect with your photo. My slogan is: Quality never goes out of style. I changed the color in yellow so that it stands out more and matches the dress the model is wearing.
I put the text in de left corner. The line space and letter space I have left at 0 and the font I used is Arial.
The final result:
I saved the image as JPG and the quality is high.
This lesson was really helpful and I am ready to make my first advertisement.

Okay I can't really see what you have done here - this looks like you were taking picture s of the screen - as I said in class you need screenshots or snips of the work - You needed to show the process and technical detail of the tools you used in pixlr and you should have downloaded the final ad as a jpeg to show what you have done - please try to fix this
ReplyDeleteOkay you have improve this - however still make sure you add little more technical detail in your final advert as to the tools you use - good practice
